It Works GREAT!
As long as you follow the directions.
In fact, I usually cook the pasta a minute less than what is requested. This ensures that when I re-heat it for lunches or anything, it stays under the limit.
I started at 89 for my blood sugars. A Couple hours later, I was at 102. That, in my opinion, is not bad at all!
